Funny how Johnny Apple had literally nothing but, a bag of apple seeds, a bible, and a potted hat. And that’s all he used, needed, and accepted. All he did was just plant apple trees. No knife, no gun, no hostile to him. Just a man planting apples. No wonder the animals allowed him in. He respected their land, but gave them fruit, trees, and something to live off of. Even the skunk liked him.~ Learn something from this cartoon. Respect the world, what you were given, and never hold hostility towards those who came before you. Where have the Disney movies with THESE lessons have gone. I miss them. Please bring them back.

4:31 I love this part where Johnny meets his guardian angel. The line "might look mighty queersome to you and me, but ya know, that's just the way John figured he'd be" has stuck with me. When meeting a spiritual being or just having a spiritual experience in general, the thought of it having so much familiarity I think is so sweet and wholesome. Love this cartoon!

I remember seeing this on Sunday night with Walt on the Wonderful World of Disney. Sure miss that show. Wish they would show them again. It wouldn't cost them anything and new and old generations would be able to enjoy a simple time. Children would then learn that Walt Disney was a person and not a place to go on vacation.

The Appleseed segment is pretty accurate in terms of John Chapman’s character. He really was pious, kind to animals, and There’s one story about him where he put out his campfire after seeing mosquitoes fly into it, because he didn’t even want bugs to die for his comfort. In another he purchased a horse that was about to be euthanized and nursed it back to health.

Wow!!! Haven't seen these since I was a kid...like over 40 years ago. They really need to bring back all these classic toons, look at the art work the artist did and the time it took them...pure talent. Thanks for posting these toons.

I remember this when I was very young 😊 far away from America 🇺🇸, One day I wanted to come and see all the apple trees that he planted there , and I did 😊😊😊 I love apples 🍎
