What a talented man John was. When he died in the plane crash, the world lost not lost not only an singer and entertainer, but also a man who was ahead of his time in caring about the environment. John cared about animals, nature and the earth whether it was on land or life forms in the oceans. He was out to help protect it. When John died, it was a major loss to the world. Rest in peace John Denver.
A lot of beautiful people on here making a lot of awesome comments. They are a pleasure to read. Still loving this gentle soul in 2025........
The wildlife concert was a final gift to all his fans .
No one sings a love song better than John Denver.
The Wildlife Concert has to be one of the best I have ever experienced -- I watch it on YouTube every chance I get. I just close my eyes and John's music transports me back to a simpler time. I am 73 now which only goes to show his music is timeless. ❤
I am still listening to this beautiful love song in 2024. It helps me feel closer to my beloved wife. You see, we had a car accident in 2022 and I am dealing with overwhelming grief. This song helps me through each day
Miss him so much! I’m now 71 and I have not forgotten this beautiful voice. He left us too soon. ❤️🇨🇦❤️
I was a young widow when I first heard this beautiful song and I told everyone I knew if I ever married this would be played at my wedding..years later I married a widower and yes we danced to this song...he has passed on as well...I could listen to this forever and a day
I still listen to him in 2024. He is one of the greatest.
I was a nurse back then and I met John and we came friends , he would come and sing to my patients .we met up in aspen just 3 months before he died .,..I didn’t tell him everything I wanted him to know…if only I had known what was to happen 3 months down the road .i still have the last photo of me and John in aspen in July 97 …..I still can’t to this day believe he has gone ….John you are the best of my life , you are the rest of my life …I am now in a wheelchair with an incurable illness…. Soon I pray I will see him again in the loving arms of the Messiah
Beautiful! The emotion that comes through in his voice. Such a great talent, sadly taken too soon. ❤
I just want to say , what a privilege is has been for me to have called John Denver a friend of both my wife Jacqueline & myself, what a wonderful person, it just happens that he was , in our opinion , probably the greatest singer/songwriter/ musician, for the last 100 years, perfection at its best, to this day we still miss you & your friendship JD, rest in peace my friend. One day we will meet again, of that I am sure, till then, hasta luego, TJ & JMR Canary Islands.
John had a voice I could listen to forever. Uplifting and sad. Warm and rich. A sad loss to us all.
Someone tell me why people don’t recognize this “special” singer, writer and musician? This man was amazing.......
This is the most beautiful love song ever. Love John Denver! ❤
It's still shocks me to this day that this song was never released as a single. Listen to each and every word. I truly believe this song would be a top choice at weddings, Valentine's Day etc etc. whoever chose not to release the song completely dropped the ball. Even all these years later I think everyone would agree it would still be a massive hit
This is what true love is and John Denver knew it. Most of his songs came from God Almighty and that is why people loved him so much. God is Love. Why has this world forgotten what love is?
There are few artists who can create a beautiful melody that lifts your soul, with poignant lyrics that touch your heart, and John was one of them. Every song tells a story, they bring a smile to your face or tears to your eyes. Although he was taken from us far too soon, he left us a wonderful legacy to enjoy forever. Thank you John, now your music is filling the heavens.
In this performance his voice matches the cello perfectly! Few performers could ever execute so simplistically such an astounding piece of music! Just brilliantly written & performed! Thank you ever, JD. At 83, your music has sung me thru my life!
