I think bots pose a real problem of false confidence... I fight so many bots that I will roll up expecting to kill two squads by myself and the second I realize its real players I have to actually play the game. I would rather approach each fight with strategy against similarly skilled players.

As a casual, it's great target practice while still having a bit of third-party danger. Also, I like grinding the dailies just to give each game some goals, and there's no way I could finish 200 levels each battle pass without some bots to beat up on for the dailies/quests.

the point is, not everyone is good at the game, not all the people have the time or the energy (after a 12 hrs shifts) to play 100% real players, bots come great to the matches for casuals. Not everyone is full time playing Fortnite.

I don’t mind bots. They’re like loot machines. They drop ammo, gold, heals, and sometimes pretty decent weapons.

I'd say cheaters are more of a problem than bots. Especially YouTubers who use the platform to flex and massage their fragile egos. As far as bots are concerned, it's disappointing to drop a double digit kill count and over half are bots.

My biggest beef with bots is that after killing only bots in a round you get complacent. Then a real decent player comes along and you don't try your hardest and get taken out.

As a lower skill player who doesn't get to play very often, it feels worse to spend your entire game trying to find a jetpack with the low spawn rate just so you can compete reasonably. Securing your POI just to get deleted by someone who comes out of nowhere from above with Iron Man gloves can be tilting

You’re right. We talk about bots EVERY game. Off spawn: “got some on me” , “are they real?” “Nope, bots” (continues looting like nothings even there)

It’d be interesting if they showed real player counts in the lobby and then spawned in the bots on bus launch so there was some idea of what to expect

They should make the bots skill based I've seen a video of an AI against pro where it was building and editing really fast and it won... I also seen one where two AI went crazy against each other...

I recently had a match where I killed a real player in a tense fight and then realized the 2 remaining opponents were bots; it was pretty disappointing. I’m not a great player and even I feel like around 1/3rd of my opponents are bots.

With no bots i would assume the matchmaking time in the highest and lowest classes would be soo long that people would stop playing the game.
