Can't beat Trek and Cannondale for warning stickers, I took all the labels off my mad one's and saved over a pound an a half in weight.
I'm glad with my 2 trek bikes ๐บ๐ด๐บagain great video,
I was just watching the film again. I know I joke about things just to get the comments going for the algorithm but you put some very good clear information in this film and the previous episodes. I think people who haven't tackled some of these jobs on their bikes would find them very helpful. Have to say though....GT85 ROCKS !!!!! There can only be one ๐
A true professional.
Tower of indecision ๐ I have one on each of my bikes... Too worried now im nearing 50 I'll need to unslam my bar ๐
Hey, thanks for the tip on the pedal & cleat lube. I need that. Iโve been spraying wet lube to get ride of the squishy sound, but need to reapply every couple of weeks. Iโll give that a try.
Brilliant bike ๐
Iโm a convert to waxed chains, Iโm always surprised by the more maintenance aspect. I find having a clean chain, cassette and front rings a maintenance plus as if you use traditional oil you should properly clean you chain more often which is a messy job. I wax my chain(s) whilst doing other cleaning/maintenance tasks so it really is no hassle. All IMHO of course.
Great vid. The black and red colour scheme looks nice on that Trek. (I'm a fan of the laser gizmo ๐)
Man, Trek put a lot of stickers on my mountain bike too. I removed them early on.
I always put a circle of helicopter tape over the back of the front brake hole. But I know what you mean. Some of them front brake bolts are a pain in the Harris. After the last couple videos , I have bought a tube of 222 grease to fill my gun up with once the Pace grease has ran out .
Hi Stew, the algorithm popped one of your videos up as a recommended video a week or so ago, clicked on then thought I recognise that voice, then when you came on camera realised that the last 20 odd years have been far kinder to you than to me๐ Iโm liking the channel and your videos are improving massively with each one. Are we going to get any on the lovely โdales hanging on the wall?
top bolt on the stem (that clamps) steerer tube looks rusty chain was past .75 but cassette still OK to use? great videos btw ๐
I see the same problem with debris and corrosion inside the brake mount hole over and over again. Is there any merit in placing a small self adhesive PVC patch over the hole after itโs been cleaned out? (Or a small waterproof plaster or a tiny plastic bung or whatever.)
Re stickers . . . A slightly darker black square is a lot less obvious than an ugly white and useless warning sticker. ๐ I vote for removing it. Damn the CPSC๐
