It's very sad for me to be here, at the end or nearly the end of my life... so far away from everything I have loved. This is a horrible place to do this, but I have nothing and no one else to witness my heart the way I feel it. I have loved truly and hard, fell even harder. Now I have cancer and getting back up every day just keeps getting harder. I became aware with Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd. I walked my streets with my walkman and sang to everything I heard, all the while unaware of the people laughing at the kid screaming his guts out on the sidewalk. Music is the only thing that's never left me. I know none of you, but I love you all... truly.
They can make fun of our age, but i swear we had the best cars and the best music. No doubt!
So glad I was teen back in the mid 70s, what a wonderful time to be alive!
I didn’t just hear the music, I lived the music, still smell the Copertone, feel the hot sun, wear cutoff’s, recall certain times when I hear certain songs, occasionally, I remember I’m 64 ❤, but my spirit will always remain as that of my youth, always a teenager at heart ❤ motorcycle to the lake with my guy, so close but so far away ❤keep young my friends 😊
I moved to USA from Mexico back in 1982 , I was 16 years old , I'm almost 60 years old now , 70's Rock songs remind me my friends , riding bicycles , we did feel like Bikers from a MC 😊 . I never see my friends again , they moved to another neighborhoods , others passed away. Today on my way to work , on the bus traveling the streets of Minneapolis ... I salute you Old School Rockers !!!
From the description, "Like the music was rewiring something inside me... nobody had smartphones back then. No one was recording anything or worrying about social media posts. We were just... present." - absolutely perfect.
Close to 60 now... body riddled with problems, but remembering the good times of my time with kids of my own age... some with the same problems like me, and others who have sadly passed away. Those were the days of skinning knees and riding bicycles, our first wheels and independence... And here I am still listening to the best music ever created... Rush, Led Zeppelin, Floyd, Deep Purple, Kansas, Journey, Free, Styx, Fleetwood Mac. Love to you all, my brothers in time.
Who wooda thought Woodstock 50years later & still here 77 & still digging Ten Years After. Staying high😊
The glorious days of freedom long before the infuriating trifecta of internet, social media, and smart phones.
I was born in the early 50’s and I am in my early 70’s WHAT A FUCKING LIFE I HAD . A LOT OF HISTORY AND ALL YOU YOUNG PUPS YOU WILL NEVER EXPERIENCE WHAT I HAVE....
It was the best decade to be a teenager. I am 64 years old now, and I have seen dang near every one of the artists that you have on this playlist. I was very hippie back then, perhaps leaning toward gypsy. Thanks for the trip down memory lane. Good times!
Growing up in the 60s and 70s how innocent we all were. Now im 70 and still have the love of all that music it foenst get any better .Sweet Memories of our youth ❤❤❤
The range of music that I love falls into the 1965-85 zone. Great to have been around to enjoy the music in that era.
Throughout life, some friends come and some friends go, but, music is always there for you.
Who here still jamming in 2025?
Thanks - this music is still magical! My 1976 was spent in the UK and when someone found a "new" album - we would all gather around, passing the cover and admiring the artwork, checking out the lyrics and playing along with the air guitars, bongos and tambourines! Sharing music in person was bonding and we would all pile into a VW van with tents and doss rolls and head for the latest outdoor Rock Festivals - Reading, Glastonbury, Isle of Wight - a blur of high times!
Back in the days when the airwaves reverberated with the sound of cool. 💗
At times, all your soul needs is a Music, some stillness, and someone to tell you, You’re doing great..
I can't think of any other section of history that I would have wanted to live in. Our lives and music will live foe eternity 🎉
