the impossible entirely possible has finally been achieved: a stable frame rate
The next Pokemon game will require the Switch 3 to be playable.
They need to update Legends Arceus before the release of Legends ZA. Honestly, every first-party game should get a resolution and framerate bump at some point.
A $450 patch to fix Pokemon. Finally.
Sadly the frame rate will never be able to fix the art direction and environment models
This game on Switch 1 was one of my favorite memories I still have to this day playing together with my son. We would sit together as soon as we got home and watch each other play, cheer each other on, and even now we still take it out some days and play together. I'm now saving up money to buy the new Switch 2 for when the new pokemon game comes out, hoping for new good memories with my son who will have turned 15 by that time :)
"just how bad the engine is", is the most honest take on the game so far, the fact that people had to pay an upgraded console just to make the game playable is incredibly anti-consumer from Nintendo.
It's so sad to see that Pokémon Scarlet & Violet needed the Switch 2, but gotta say this looks good!
This is the game we were expecting when Scarlet and Violet released
Never clicked so quick in my life. As the vaseline smeared batcape swept across my screen like a snail trail, this pops up. Thank you both! Living vicariously through your Switch 2 experience. Thanks for commiting to keep supporting Switch 1 for those of us who aren't able to get a Switch 2 for a while.
Absolute legends, I'd be holed up playing all the new games on my switch 2 but you lads are working hard to put out videos about how some of our backlog might run on the new system. Thank you SwitchUp.
4:13 okay but can we talk about the held item choice? 😅
$450 to make this playable. WHOA
This just hurts... the fact i have to buy a switch 2 and pay more money for this improvement for a game i already own.
it shines a very bright light on how flat and and empty this game is thats for sure. the idea of paying $450 just to get a game like this running at more than 25fps is incredibly depressing.
Man it actually looks good now. I can't believe it haha
Are the kids in the classroom still swinging their legs at 5 FPS? XD
But "can it load crisis"
I got a switch 2 and first thing I did was update this game. I have to say, the smoother gameplay makes it feel like a whole different game and I actually sent all my Pokemon to Home and restarted the game 😅.
