This is the Summer song from my Four Seasons suite.
I wrote the song back in 2023 for my choir, Rebel Voices, but didn't record it until I needed a track for an early scene in my debut feature film, The Websters (2025). This was the right groove...and the right length! In the film, the track is diegetic, in other words, part of the scene, being music playing in the background of an evening in with friends. It's way back, therefore, in the mix, so it doesn't interfere with the scene's dialogue. Therefore I've posted it here so it can be heard properly.
The track features the lead vocal of Lin Nicholls, who I'm thrilled to have sing this song. Lin featured on my very first, home-grown album 'Apart From Me...' which led to my clinching a recording and publishing contract in 1986 with Word (UK) Records. Lin's voice is just as great now as it was then, so it's a pleasure to welcome Lin back to sing another of my songs.
I hope you like it...I've heard comments that this has the feel of a Summer festival. I'll take that!
