So this is (in three minutes) how I, a nobody, landed the best job in the world as a travel writer. I have been a writing professionally for the same publication for nearly 10 years now, and when I say it out loud I honestly can't believe I've been this fortunate. Luck definitely got me in the door, but it's been hard work and extreme drive that has kept me exploring and engaged. Each trip is as exciting as the next, and I hope that shows in my writing and filmmaking. It's never about the money or the moniker, it's always about meeting people and gaining new, valuable perspective on the world and how to be a better person in it.
