The Fiat of the Eternal Father #shorts #morningprayer #catholic #fiat #eternalfather
This prayer is authentic and truly originates from the apparitions received by Mother (Sr.) Eugenia Elisabetta Ravasio in 1932. It is not from the Hail Mary or standard liturgical texts but comes directly from her mystical encounter with God the Eternal Father, often referred to as “The Fiat of the Eternal Father” or “Prayer to the Father”
Sister Eugenia Ravasio (1907–1990) was a Catholic nun recognised for her missionary work and mystical experiences. In 1932, she reported two apparitions in which God the Father appeared to her, uniquely dictating messages in perfect Latin despite her limited education. This prayer is part of the set of devotions she received — asking believers to make an offering (fiat) of their lives to the Father through Mary and Jesus.
The prayer encourages surrender of the entire day to God’s will, through Mary, in union with Jesus.
✨ Significance of the Prayer
Liturgical and devotional endorsement: The prayer is included in approved spiritual literature and is part of a genuine, Church-sanctioned private revelation.
Fiat spirituality: It embodies complete surrender to God's will, modelled on Mary’s own fiat at the Annunciation—“Let it be done to me”.
Much like morning offerings in Catholic tradition, it consecrates your entire day to the loving providence of the Father.
🕯️ When to Pray It
Every morning, as part of your daily prayer routine.
Ideal before personal devotions, Rosary, or Mass.
During times of uncertainty, when seeking divine guidance.
As a prep prayer for morning spiritual commitment.
🕯️ Why Catholics Pray It
Roots in the spirit of Mary’s fiat—saying yes to God's plan.
Helps keep daily consecration front and centre — every morning becomes sacred.
Aligns your will to God’s more closely, fostering spiritual growth.
Found in well-loved prayer books like the Pieta Prayer Book, reinforcing tradition and devotion.
"My beloved Father,
Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.
Be Thou my Father, be always my eternal Father.
Do not leave my soul. Do not abandon me.
Do not leave me out of Your sight, my Father,
For I am Your child, whom You have created to please You,
To adore You, living my days as You have given me the license to live them.
I offer You my fiat, through Mary, to Jesus, to You, Eternal Father.
Amen
