Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) has conceded overconsumption of synthetic vitamin B-6, also known as pyridoxine, pyridoxal, or pyridoxamine can cause irreversible nerve damage. The TGA has proposed stricter regulations around B6, which are due to be implemented in 2027. Clinical pathologist Dr David Kanowski says, if you take supplements opt for a lower level of B6 and make sure you read the product information.
