Kongnamul Bap, or Korean soybean sprouts rice, is an amazingly simple, but even more amazingly delicious vegan dish ❤ Also, we have included a special/secret recipe for an amazing soy sauce twist, for use in other recipes too 🤫
It has humble origins, but here at 1-2-3 Kimchi we believe it should be placed back on stage! Because delicious doesn't mean it cannot be cheap, and simple doesn't mean it cannot be healthy!

콩나물밥 | Kongnamul Bap(Soybean sprouts rice) | Serves 2
[Ingredients]
Short grain rice(sushi rice) 1 cup
Water 1 cup
2 dried shiitake mushrooms
Korean light soy sauce ½ tbsp
Perilla oil(or sesame oil) ½ tbsp
For sauce:
Green onion 1 stalk
Minced garlic ½ tsp
Chopped green chili pepper ½ tsp
Chopped coriander(cilantro) 1 tbsp
Soy sauce 1 ½ tbsp
Korean light soy sauce 1 tbsp
Water(from soaking shiitake mushroom) 1 ½ tbsp
Sesame oil 1 tbsp
Toasted sesame seeds ½ tbsp
Ground black pepper to taste
